Union Coffee House is an identity I created for a coffee shop at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to coming under the ownership of the dining department, the location operated as a Starbucks coffee shop. The space needed a unique name and graphic treatment while still adhering to the university brand standards. I utilized colors from the university’s primary color palette to create a graphic identity that appears on coffee cups and permanent illuminated signage.
Every year, the marketing department of housing and dining is tasked with creating a graphic that will be showcased on the t-shirts worn by staff members during the official “mooov-in” days. This when new residents get their keys and officially move in into to their university housing. I created the illustration for the shirt which also were used to create Snapchat filters.
Various posters created for special dining events hosted by University Housing and Dining. These events often only last for a few hours or a few days, so the intent is to grab student’s attention and entice them to attend.
This identity and icon was created to showcase the expanded catering services at the university. The client desired a logo that stood apart from the standard university wordmark. However, it was required that the identity still reflect the university brand guidelines. The solution we came up with features the university burnt orange, the secondary gray color and the primary university font. The logo appears on the chef’s coat as well as menu display signage.
These over-sized posters (over 57 inches wide x 35 inches high!) reflect the university's core values and were on display in the main building at the University of Texas at Austin. I selected photography and incorporated the core value words into the images.
Every year, the University of Texas at Austin president's office and development office send out original holiday cards that reflect the UT-brand while remaining holiday neutral. These illustrations that I created were among their selections that were printed and mailed to friends, alumni and donors.
Who doesn't love infographics? These infographics that I designed and illustrated were distributed via email and featured online.
I designed the invitation for the 50th anniversary performance of The Fantasticks, which coincided with the Department of Theatre & Dance’s alumni weekend. Since the budget was at a minimum, and the content at a maximum, I created a self-mailer packed with information about the performance and alumni weekend.
